Generative Semantics of Phobia City
도시는 끊임 없이 변화하고 있다. 도시의 생성과 몰락은 우리가 살아가는 환경을 결정짓는다. 자연발생적인 도시의 모습은 작은 군락을 형성하며 증폭하고 도시계획에 의한 도시의 확장은 부분별 발전을 거듭하며 우리의 주변을 잠식 시키고 있다.
인천의 도시구조는 이미 오래 전에 인간적인 변화와 발전을 거부해 왔다. 자연과 함께 생성되는 도시의 모습은 기대할 수 없고, 거대 구조물들의 향연 속에서 도시의 모습은 하루가 다르게 변모 해간다. 인공적으로 만들어지는 녹지와 호수 그리고 언덕들은 땅속 깊은 곳에서부터 신음하고 있다. 자연을 대처하는 인공가공물들은 마치 오래 전부터 그곳에 있은 듯 가증스럽게 그 자태를 보여주고 있고, 도시는 하부에서 시작되어 꿈틀대는 부패된 기운으로 만들어지는 새로운 구조물과 이형공간으로 새로운 도시를 만들어간다. 그리고, 그 도시 내부에 새로운 도시 “Phobia City”가 존재한다. Phobia City는 그들이 만들어낸 그들의 반영Reflection에서 시작된 그들의 유토피아Utopia이며 무덤이다.
The city changes every moment of our life without civilized purpose and our Environment depends on evolution of the city. City planning and regulations of city has gone beyond their limitations.
The city of Incheon abandoned many aspects of human needs and Scale, recently. The city is no longer men’s land; the land is filling with artificial objects. Mother Nature is not a main subject in this city. The city wanted to have more and more artificial ground and artificial nature. I truly saying, making of artificial landscape, creats another land of Hades.
Suddenly, all of these artificial “things” became men’s history and symbol of wealth. Dialectics of human nature and artificial objects are not an essential phenomenon anymore.
“Phobia city” exist in the inner core of the city and reflects their dream and present. The Phobia city indicates their Utopia and their own graveyard.
